The redesign of Seasons IGA East Brisbane by 77 Architecture marks a significant development in retail architecture. Following a fire that significantly damaged the original supermarket, the project became an opportunity to expand the supermarket with a new frontage to Lytton Road. This change introduces a bright and open entryway that draws in natural light.
This project, in partnership with interior designer Alexa Nice and builder Inspired Built, has resulted in a practical yet modern supermarket design. The new layout strategically leads customers through a series of retail zones, each dedicated to a different vendor. The design focuses on the transparency of food preparation, featuring local and quality products.
Facing spatial constraints, 77 Architecture devised a thoughtful and efficient layout that meets the client’s detailed brief and provides customers with a distinctive shopping experience. Each section of the store has been optimised for both functionality and customer engagement.
Seasons IGA East Brisbane now offers a refreshed shopping environment where visitors can easily navigate and enjoy the selection of goods available. The design is purposeful, emphasising ease of movement and visibility, which in turn showcases the supermarket’s range of offerings.
